Cookie Policy

The short version: essential sign-in cookies, a theme preference stored on your device, and aggregate analytics on public pages. No advertising cookies, ever.

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are essential for a site to work at all (like keeping you signed in); others help understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage. This page lists everything we use and why — it forms part of our Privacy Policy.

These are required for the platform to function and cannot be switched off:

  • Authentication cookies — keep you securely signed in to your account and expire when your session ends or you sign out.
  • Security cookies — protect forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and help detect abuse.

Your theme choice (light/dark) is stored in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it between visits. This never leaves your device and contains no personal information.

On our production site we use Google Tag Manager with Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use our public pages — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and where they drop off. We use this to improve the site. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run remarketing, and we never feed health or session information into analytics. Analytics does not run in development or staging environments.

  • Browser settings — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for specific sites. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in from working.
  • Google Analytics opt-out — install Google’s official browser opt-out add-on to stop GA measurement across all sites.
  • Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, so there is nothing additional these signals need to switch off.

Users in jurisdictions that require consent for non-essential cookies (such as the EEA/UK) can block analytics entirely using the controls above; the platform works fully without them.

If we add or change the technologies we use, we will update this page and its “last updated” date. Questions? Email [email protected] or see our Privacy Policy.
